2014 LOVE TOKENS

I keep coming back to my love of paper and working with my hands. This year I made one love token for someone, just one special order, because I was going to take off through February. But once I began cutting and weaving and making something for someone to cherish, I couldn't stop. I just had to keep going until I had made an entire collection to share with you this year. The colors and textures of the papers were thoughtfully chosen to go with each vintage or antique frame. Sifting through old papers, parchment papers that I had painted and stained, envelopes and letters written long ago to loved ones, copies of an indentured servant letter from the late 1700s, flyleaf pages of old books, each and every scrap and snippet was found and considered and then made into

Tokens of Love.
